The Gentleman Burger - England
Ingredients
- 2 Warrendale Wagyu burgers
- 2 brioche burger buns, toasted
- 2 slices of mature cheddar
- 4 rashers smoked streaky bacon
- 2 tablespoons onion relish
- Handful of baby watercress
- 1 beef tomato, sliced
- Gherkins, sliced
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- English mustard (optional)
Method
- Cook the Wagyu burgers over direct heat on the BBQ.
- Grill the bacon until crisp.
- Top each burger with mature cheddar during the final minute of cooking and allow it to melt.
- Toast the brioche buns lightly.
- Spread mayonnaise over the base buns, then add watercress, sliced tomato and the cheesy Wagyu patties.
- Top with crispy bacon, gherkins and a generous spoonful of onion relish.
- Finish with a little English mustard if using before adding the burger lids.
Additional
Add a crispy onion ring on top for extra crunch and a proper pub-style finish.
Serving Suggestion
Serve with chunky chips, a crisp coleslaw or a simple dressed salad.
