The Gentleman Burger - England

Ingredients

  • 2 Warrendale Wagyu burgers
  • 2 brioche burger buns, toasted
  • 2 slices of mature cheddar
  • 4 rashers smoked streaky bacon
  • 2 tablespoons onion relish
  • Handful of baby watercress
  • 1 beef tomato, sliced
  • Gherkins, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • English mustard (optional)

Method

  1. Cook the Wagyu burgers over direct heat on the BBQ.
  2. Grill the bacon until crisp.
  3. Top each burger with mature cheddar during the final minute of cooking and allow it to melt.
  4. Toast the brioche buns lightly.
  5. Spread mayonnaise over the base buns, then add watercress, sliced tomato and the cheesy Wagyu patties.
  6. Top with crispy bacon, gherkins and a generous spoonful of onion relish.
  7. Finish with a little English mustard if using before adding the burger lids.

Additional

Add a crispy onion ring on top for extra crunch and a proper pub-style finish.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with chunky chips, a crisp coleslaw or a simple dressed salad.
