Bavette Steak or Flank Steak as it is sometimes known if from the Forequarter of the animal and therefore traditionally was used in dicing and mincing. This steak, when cooked properly, is a very tender cut of meat and is best either flash fried and must be served medium rare, if you like your steak well done then this is not the cut to buy. How to Cook Wagyu Beef Bavette Steak: When it comes to cooking the Bavette, we always recommend that you serve it either Medium Rare to Rare for the best quality tasting and eating. Rest for as long as you have cooked it for before eating.
